Revised Production Timeline

(I also added in another Fashion Shoot on the 18th June, as well as an additional Grooming shoot on the 20th.)

Final Updates

My website is finally complete, and this time around I feel a lot more accomplished in the result. I've managed to create 6 editorials as opposed to only 3 last time, add a whole new section to the site and make the site flow better together. I think now that every page is useful to my readers and I know that they will be interested in it all. For some final updates, I've changed my FAQ and About page. I thought they were satisfactory anyway, so I've only made some slight changes but I think it still looks better. This time, I've managed to stick to my work timeline a lot better and I think over all this has made a big difference to my finished website. By asking my customers what they wanted specifically, I feel like I've catered to them a lot better so I feel a lot more accomplished now it's done. By spending a lot more time in post-production my images are definitely of a better standard. Finally, by adding a variety of Fashion and Still Life shoots, my site has a new variety that it lacked before.

Day and Night

For my final Fashion shoot, I have decided to incorporate a 'Day to Night' outfit. I think this is a good idea because my customers are the type of people who lead busy lives, so giving them this idea to be able to go straight from the day through to the evening will be something they can relate to. I wanted to keep it simple, so I've not made it too complicated with the outfit changes.
Again, I've really focused on the post-production of my images, trying to make it sleek and simple.

I'm really happy with the outcome of this shoot and I think it will be really useful to my readers.

Disney Shoot

I am re-shooting my Disney shoot from my last submission. Although I was happy with the images, there weren't enough of them and I'd like to edit them a little better. I've gone back to the start, to research the trend.

Simply searching for Adult Disney clothing in Google gives you streams upon streams of websites where it can be purchased, so I still think it is a good idea to include this editorial on the site. Although it may not be a lasting trend, MANNOW is about showcasing relevant trends so I'm happy with my choice. I am going to use the same clothing from my previous shoot and make sure I get some extra shots, as my editorials need to be longer.

Here's a couple of photos from the shoot. I wanted this editorial to be really fun, so I've tried to edit my photos reflecting that. With the addition of some simple arrows in the same colour as Mickey Mouse, and some cartoon effects on the images, I think it brings a really fun element. I've also included some text on the images stating the products I am drawing attention to.

Updating the Site

As well as adding new photos to my website, I am also updating it by making some simple changes. Firstly, I am making sure that all of the text used on my editorials is the same for each page. Last time, for some reason I hadn't used the same font across my pages, and it was small changes like this that I think have really upgraded my website. I have also added the same speech bubble at the bottom of my fashion pages, telling customers where they can buy outfits. I think this is a good addition and stands out if customers are looking for it. According to my survey, my customers expected to see at least 5 different editorials a month, so I have made sure to have this amount. They were the most interested in Fashion, so I have included 3 fashion editorials, followed closely by Grooming, which I've added 2, and finally I have 1 Wardrobe Staples editorial.

Still Life 2

I'm really happy with how this shoot turned out. I've never tried a flat lay shoot before, and I think it works really well. I also spent a lot of time on the post production of my images which was suggested to me in my feedback. I've tried some mirroring techniques as well as others, which I think makes the images really interesting to look at.

Here are some examples of the shoot. To start off with, I was worried the addition of flowers making the photos look too girly, and like it was for a female audience, but by using just some simple white flowers and some small green ones, I think it works well and doesn't look too feminine.

Still Life 2

I've decided to add in another still life shoot to my website. The theme is going to be on aftershaves, and I'm going to try and do a flat lay shoot. I've never done one before so I think it will be interesting to see how it works out. I want my shoots to have variety so hopefully the different layout will accommodate that. My audience wanted to see grooming editorials, so I think 2 will be enough to start off with. I'll see how it works with the site once it is live, and then decide how often I will upload them.
